Updated to Minecraft 1.21.9/10
At last! Sorry it took as long as it did - real life once again. This update is coming with a bunch of new stuff that was sitting on the backburner though, so hopefully that makes up for it. I believe as of writing this 1.21.11 is very imminent (the pace of these updates sure is something for modding), so I'll definitely get that turned around quicker.
-
Added Shelves for all 10 BFB Wood types
Comes with the move to 1.21.9.
-
Added Smooth Stone Wall and Smooth Stone Bricks
Running theme of this update is lots of new stone blocks. The wall fills out the last gap in the smooth stone family and the bricks fill the niche of a light grey brick block.
-
Granite, Diorite, Andesite, and Antigorite Bricks
Exactly what it sounds like. Like pretty much all blocks mentioned in these notes, they also have stairs, slab, and wall variants.
-
Dark Sand and Dark Sandstone
Dark Sand is crafted by combining two dirt and two sand, and the sandstone family (which includes bricks) fills the niche of a dark tan stone that's long felt absent from Vanilla.
-
Light Tuff
Crafted by combining quartz and tuff - every stone type added in this update is craftable rather than generating naturally, as I like things being renewable and want to avoid necessitating world expansions/regenerations as much as possible, given they're already needed more frequently than in the past thanks to the drop system. Light tuff has every block the regular tuff family does and serves as a pale green/grey block set.
-
Calcite Blocks
Calcite now has polished and brick variants, to round out the new stone block colours with a clean white. Calcite is also craftable by combining Cobblestone and Bone Meal.
-
Scorchwood Saplings can now be obtained by bonemealing Scorched Grass
The old method of smelting still works, but this is vastly more practical.
-
Changed Vanilla Sandstone and BFB Cut Sandstone Wall models
The Vanilla Sandstone walls are the only ones whose base blocks aren't the same on all six sides, yet they use the normal wall model anyway, meaning they don't actually match their base block. In the process of creating a wall model appropriate for the new Sandstone walls I was adding, I also changed the Vanilla walls (and BFB walls for whom I hadn't previously caught this) to use it so they actually have the correct textures on each of their faces.
-
Texture Tweaks:
- Polished Antigorite
- Grimstone Bricks
- Stripped Pine Log
- Stripped Willow Log
Nothing super noticeable, just little tweaks to clean up noisy parts of textures, etc.
-
Moved Red Sandstone in BFB tab of Creative Inventory
To better match Vanilla inventory placements.
-
Fixed bug where obtaining Gunpowder didn't grant Grimstone recipe unlock
